The Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) is opening new educational opportunities for Roma youth through its Roma Talent Programme, aimed at both high school and university students. Designed to provide long-term, comprehensive development, the initiative combines high-quality education, mentorship, community building, and personal support—free of charge.
According to a statement released by MCC on Thursday, the programme goes far beyond traditional social assistance. It offers full access to the institution’s intellectual resources and emphasizes internationally competitive knowledge, identity-building, and value-based community development. Participants receive personal and academic mentoring, foreign language training, and may qualify for performance-based scholarships.
High school students selected for the programme will attend regular weekend training sessions at MCC’s headquarters in Budapest, while also engaging in community and experience-based programmes. University students are invited to deepen their expertise and expand their professional networks within a supportive and cohesive environment.
The programme seeks students who will be attending a high school offering a secondary school diploma in the 2025–2026 academic year or are starting ninth grade. University students must already be enrolled in a higher education institution and interested in furthering their academic and professional growth.
Applications are open until 10 August, and full details about the requirements and the application process can be found at https://rtp.mcc.hu.
MCC emphasizes that the Roma Talent Programme creates a unique setting where young people receive individual attention, quality education, and a sense of belonging—all with the aim of nurturing talent and building future Roma leaders.
