The Harlem Globetrotters will celebrate the 100th anniversary of their founding with a Hungarian leg of their global centenary tour, bringing their iconic basketball show to Veszprém, Szeged, and Budapest next year.

According to organizers, the anniversary tour will stop at the Veszprém Arena on 29 October 2026, continue at the Szeged City Sports Hall on 30 October, and conclude at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna on 31 October.

Founded in 1926, the Harlem Globetrotters have become one of the most recognizable sports entertainment brands in the world, blending elite basketball skills with comedy, choreography, and audience interaction. Often described as a travelling basketball circus, the team stages around 300 shows annually across the globe.

During the centenary tour, the Globetrotters will wear a special anniversary jersey honouring their 100-year history and once again face their traditional on-court rivals, the Washington Generals. Alongside spectacular trick shots and ball-handling feats, fans can expect special surprises, including the appearance of Spalding’s gold basketball.

The Hungarian shows will also offer meet-and-greet opportunities, with players greeting fans before the game and signing autographs after the performance.

The Harlem Globetrotters are no strangers to Hungarian audiences. They previously toured the country in 2003 and 2017, performing in four cities on each occasion, and have built a loyal local following over the years.
