MCC’s Talent Management Programme Closes Successful Year

The goal of the MCC Plus programme is to make the unique talent development programmes of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium available to a wide range of individuals. It allows talented students who cannot take advantage of the residential dormitory option due to their university and other commitments, but have performed exceptionally well in the entrance exam, access to MCC’s training programmes.

The MCC Plus programme offers free training courses for students and those interested in the talent development activities of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium. It primarily targets students who wish to engage in the life of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium beyond the training programmes according to MCC press release.

The project started with 45 participants in September 2022, and the students have been actively taking part in the professional training and community building of MCC since.

According to the details, the goal of MCC Plus is to make the unique talent development programmes of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium available to a wide range of individuals. It allows talented students who cannot take advantage of the residential dormitory option due to their university and other commitments, but have performed exceptionally well in the entrance exam, to have access to MCC’s training programmes. The press release highlighted that MCC Plus participants have the opportunity to partake in all events by MCC and the training programmes offered by the institution’s entire faculty. During the programme’s first academic year, students had the chance to meet international experts such as Jeffrey Sachs, Vincent Harinam, Kevin Roberts, and Adrian Vermeule.

Students can deepen their knowledge through exclusive lectures by distinguished guests on their respective topics of interest. Eventually, their outstanding performance over several years can lead them to an MCC diploma. They can also apply for study trips abroad—

thanks to MCC’s international network, they can study in Vienna, Berlin, or Oxford.

Additionally, it was also revealed that during the first academic year, several high-achieving students participated in junior courses and improved their language skills through the opportunities provided by MCC. Due to the high demand, the goal for the next quarter is to make new educational packages available for students, expand programme elements, and get new students involved. The events announced for the 2022/2023 academic year attracted over 1,500 interested individuals in total, with more than 200 events.

The Mathias Corvinus Collegium is the most significant talent development institution in the Carpathian Basin,

currently providing free talent development training at 28 locations for over 7,000 students. The institution’s aim is to make its free talent development programmes available to approximately 10,000 students in 35 Hungarian-populated settlements in the Carpathian Basin within a few years.
