World-famous British chef and TV personality Gordon Ramsay recently turned 59. He was born on 8 November 1966 in Johnstone, Scotland, United Kingdom. For his birthday weekend, he decided to take a little trip to Budapest, Hungary, of all places.

He also posted a short video on his Instagram page from the Hungarian capital. In it, he is seen sitting in front of the restaurant, Hungarian Hell’s Kitchen. The name of this restaurant is an obvious reference to Ramsay’s long-running reality show Hell’s Kitchen, which has been on air for over 20 years in the United States (the original British version ended after four seasons so Ramsay could focus on the US project).

That is why Ramsay felt the need to clarify that it is an ‘unofficial location’. Playing off of a popular meme of himself, he also noted that he ‘did not find the lamb sauce’.

No words are spoken in the video, only the song ‘Frolic’ by Luciano Michelini plays, which has been popularized by comedian Larry David on his HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The restaurant owners must have been relieved that they got a shoutout from Ramsay on his Instagram instead of a cease and desist letter from his lawyer. The establishment is located on Kígyó Street in the 5th District of Budapest, if anyone wishes to look it up for themselves.

Ramsay later visited St Andrea Wine & Skybar for his birthday celebrations, as evidenced by another Instagram post. The bar’s account posted a photo of its staff happily posing with the celebrity chef.
