Academy Award-nominated actor Adam Driver has recently been filming scenes for his new film, Alone at Dawn, in Budapest, Hungary. In his spare time, he attended a concert at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music.
Photos of the celebrity guest at the concert were shared on the Academy’s official Facebook page.
The post states: ‘On 15 November, Adam Driver listened to the Années de pèlerinage marathon celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Liszt Academy. At the concert, Liszt Prize–winning pianist Gábor Farkas, rector of the university; pianist Fülöp Ránki, a member of the faculty; and three outstanding young students—Máté Paládi, Ildikó Rozsonits, and Attila Szaniszló—performed Franz Liszt’s complete piano cycle. Adam Driver visited the Liszt Academy to recharge, as he has a strong interest in classical music. As he said, he greatly enjoyed the concert as well as the beauty of the Grand Hall.’
Despite Driver attending the concert on 15 November, the post about the event was not shared by the Academy’s social media until 21 December.
Adam Driver is best known for his roles in the films Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), American Marriage Story (also 2019), and the HBO series Girls (2012–2017). He also appeared in the 2012 historical drama Lincoln, which featured Daniel Day-Lewis’s Oscar-winning performance in the titular role, and was nominated in the Best Picture category as well.
His new project, Alone at Dawn, is the movie adaptation of the novel of the same title, a biography of Medal of Honor recipient John Chapman who served in the Afghan War. It is partially filmed in Budapest, and shooting is set to finish in February 2026. The film will feature Anne Hathaway in the cast, and is directed by 2-time Academy Award winner Ron Howard.
