Viktor Orbán Hosts Working Lunch for European CPAC Participants

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán hosted a working lunch for the European participants of CPAC Hungary, and two special guests.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán hosted the European guests of CPAC Hungary, including some of the most important European right-wing party leaders, for a working lunch on Friday at the Carmelite Monastery, the prime minister‘s press chief said.

Bertalan Havasi told MTI that the politicians invited included former Slovenian prime minister and head of the Slovenian Democratic Party Janez Jan, French MEP and president of the National Rally (RN) Jordan Bardella, member of France‘s National Assembly Thibaut François, head of Portugal’s CHEGA party and member of the Assembly of the Republic André Ventura, leader of Estonia‘s Conservative People’s Party (EKRE) and MP Martin Helme, MEP of the Brothers of Italy party Vincenzo Sofo, MEP of the Freedom Party of Austria Harald Vilimsky, Secretary-General of the Freedom Party Christian Hafenecker, MEP of Belgium‘s Vlaams Belang (VB) party Gerolf Annemans, MEP of the Dutch JA21 party Rob Roos, Spanish MEP of the Vox party Hermann Tertsch, another MEP of Vox, Jorge Buxadé Villalba, member of the Croatian parliament and the Homeland Movement party Stephen Nikola Bartulica, Italian MP of the Lega party Simone Billi, MP of the Serbian People‘s Party Jovan Palalić, head of Poland‘s Ordo Iuris Institute for Legal Culture Jerzy Kwaśniewski, CEO of the Im Tirtzu Movement of Israel Matan Peleg, head of the Machiavelli Institute Daniele Scalea, member of Lega Guglielmo Picchi, executive vice president of France’s Reconquête party Marion Maréchal, and Dutch legal philosopher Eva Vlaardingerbroek.

The PM himself also commented on the event on Twitter, stating, in a somewhat enigmatic way, that ‘big things’ were ahead, and adding: ‘It’s time to drain the swamp in Brussels!’

On Facebook, the Prime Minister also revealed that former Czech President Václav Klaus and former US Ambassador to Hungary David Cornstein were also among the invitees.

Ádám Bráder graduated from the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University in 2021 as an English major specializing in English in the Media and Applied Linguistics. From 2017, he worked as an assistant editor at TV2’s news programme. After graduating, he continued his work as an online journalist, which led to him joining the Hungarian Conservative team in 2022.
