The TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel, a new four-star property developed by WING, officially opened near Terminal 2 of Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport. Hotel bookings have been available since mid-May, and the opening was formally announced at a press conference on Tuesday.
WING CEO Noah Steinberg highlighted that the development enhances the airport’s service capacity and supports the growth of Hungarian tourism, while also strengthening WING’s presence in the hospitality sector. Though investment figures remain confidential, the project signifies a major step in responding to increasing passenger demand.
The seven-storey, 8,000-square-metre hotel houses 167 rooms, including suites, across six floors. It also features conference facilities for up to 150 guests and is directly connected to the adjacent ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel, another WING development.

Deputy Head for Europe and North Africa at Accor’s TRIBE brand Pauline Oster emphasized that TRIBE offers character-rich, design-forward accommodations. The new opening marks TRIBE’s second Budapest location, following the TRIBE Budapest Stadium Hotel, launched less than two years ago.
Budapest Airport CEO Francois Berisot noted the growing number of passengers and the need for quality airport services, with nearby hotels playing an increasingly important role. Hotel Director Csaba Palotai added that the TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel is more than just accommodation—it aims to serve as a social hub as well, welcoming all visitors to its sky bar on the seventh-floor rooftop terrace.
According to the release, TRIBE was founded in Australia in 2017 and now operates over 20 hotels in major cities and travel destinations worldwide.
The hotel is jointly operated by WING and Accor. Its design and construction were carried out by several partners: architectural design by WING subsidiary Aspectus Architect, structural work by Swietelsky Hungary, finishing by Bernecker, and interior design by este’r partners.
WING is one of Central Europe’s leading privately-owned real estate development and investment firms, with a portfolio of 5.5 million square metres across Hungary, Poland, and Germany.
