An 18-year-old boy attacked a food delivery man with an axe in a road rage incident in District XI of Budapest, Hungary on Monday, 25 May. The suspect was taken into custody by local police four days later, on Friday, 29 May.
According to news reports, the delivery man accidentally hit the perp’s car with his motorbike. The driver then got out of his vehicle and hit the courier in retaliation.
However, the attack did not end there: the suspect got back to his car to retrieve an axe, which he swung at his victim. Thankfully, he missed by less than an inch, thus the incident did not result in a serious injury.
Police arrested the man in an apartment complex in District VII of Budapest. Both the attack and the arrest were caught on camera: the attack on a traffic cam; while the arrest on police cam.
The perpetrator has been charged with breach of peace while armed with the weapon. He admitted to the crime during his interrogation. However, the weapon used in the crime was never recovered. The suspect claims he discarded it somewhere.
