83 per cent of attendees were Hungarian, primarily from the districts of Érd, Budakeszi, and Szigetszentmiklós. Nearly 139,000 visitors arrived from abroad, representing a 7 per cent increase.
The largest source countries were Germany, Romania, Poland, Italy, and Slovakia. At the fireworks alone, the number of foreign visitors was close to 89,000, up 27 per cent from the previous year.
According to the mobile data, the number of people travelling to Budapest from other parts of the country for a single day reached 395,000, a 13 per cent rise. MTÜ highlighted that the data covers the riverside stretch from the southern part of Margaret Island to Petőfi Bridge and its surroundings, while the total number of viewers was significantly higher, as many watched from other locations in Budapest or followed the event on television and online.
