The Buda Castle District has unveiled a new website to assist visitors in navigating the historic area’s rich cultural and tourist offerings. The platform, available at www.budavaripalotanegyed.hu, provides an interactive map and extensive event listings to help users plan their visit more efficiently.

Available in both Hungarian and English, the user-friendly site offers useful information, programme recommendations, and convenient services such as online ticket purchasing and personalized settings. The portal is designed to make cultural exploration more accessible and enjoyable.

Visitors can find details on attractions such as the ornate Saint Stephen’s Hall, exhibitions at the YBL6 Art Space, guided tours of the Buda Castle Walks, concerts at the Carmelite Monastery, and events at the Várkert Bazaar and the De la Motte–Beer Palace. Major institutions like the National Széchényi Library, the Hungarian National Gallery, and the Budapest History Museum are also featured.

The site provides real-time cultural news, practical tips, and detailed information, including locations of restrooms, baby-changing stations, cafés, information points, and gift shops. It also highlights temporary routes established due to ongoing development under the National Hauszmann Programme and outlines nearby parking options.

The portal offers themed walking routes and tools to help visitors plan a complete itinerary, from selecting events to purchasing tickets. Registered users gain access to additional features such as tailored programme suggestions, newsletters, and purchase history.

Special functions support group bookings, while younger audiences are catered to through educational museum programmes. Event venues across the district are also accessible through the site.

Moreover, the platform offers in-depth insights into the Buda Castle District’s cultural, historical, and architectural heritage. Regular updates and improvements are planned, including enhanced accessibility features in compliance with European standards.
