Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel is set to be one of the featured speakers at CPAC Hungary 2026, The Times of Israel has reported. The Hungarian news site Index.hu has also carried the story, based on information from the Israeli paper. It has since been confirmed by the office of the Prime Minister of Israel.

The fifth annual CPAC Hungary conference will be taking place on 21 March in Budapest, Hungary. It is organized by the Budapest-based conservative think tank Center for Fundamental Rights. The date of the event will be a highly tense time in Hungarian politics, within a month of the parliamentary elections in the country.

CPAC Hungary 2026 Date Announced

Last month, rumours flared up about US President Donald Trump possibly coming to the event as well. However, as time goes by, it is becoming increasingly less likely. President Trump has sent exclusive video messages to CPAC Hungary in the last three years.

The last time Prime Minister Netanyahu visited Hungary was in April 2025. Then, he lauded the Hungarian government for withdrawing from the International Criminal Court (ICC), which has issued an international arrest warrant for him for his supposedly criminal conduct in the Hamas–Israel war.

Hungary has consistently been the staunchest supporter of Israel within the European Union after the Hamas attacks on the Jewish nation on 7 October 2023.
