Malinda Rose Cook, a nurse working at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health medical centre and hospital in Richmond, Virginia, has posted a series of disturbing videos to the social media site TikTok about ICE agents.
Posting under the username ‘mindarose8,’ she told the audience that, if they too work in the health care industry, they should inject ICE agents with saline or succinylcholine. The former substance is used for intravenous rehydration, while the latter, more dangerous substance is used to induce involuntary muscle relaxation by medical professionals.
In other videos, Cook calls for women to set up meetings with immigration enforcement officers on dating apps and use that opportunity to poison them with laxatives, a crime she described as ‘highly, easily deniable’.
To make matters worse, this footage was typically filmed in her work attire, suggesting that she was recording herself saying these inflammatory things at the medical facility where she works at.
It was the popular X account Libs of TikTok that broke the story of the rogue woke nurse, sparking massive outrage. Their original tweet has received 93,000 likes, 47,000 retweets, and 14,000 comments since its posting on Tuesday, 27 January. The woman’s identity was quickly revealed in the comments of the post.

Cook’s TikTok account has been privated. The fiery response to Cook’s TikTok videos eventually got to her place of employment.
Virginia Commonwealth University Health has put out a message on X in which they claim that the woman has been confirmed as one of their employees, who is now put on ‘administrative leave’—with no specification if that leave is with or without pay—and an internal investigation into her conduct on social media is underway as well.
They also shared that VCU Police is assisting them in that investigation; and that for the time being, Cook will not be allowed on their premises. VCU Health has also described the content of her videos as ‘highly inappropriate’ and stated that it does not reflect the integrity of their value system.

Cook’s proposed action for other health care providers against ICE agents, without a doubt, violates the Hippocratic Oath, in which health professionals famously vow to ‘do no harm’.
