According to a new poll released by the European polling firm More in Common, 55 per cent of British people believe that national diversity is disappearing due to the nation’s diversity.
The left-wing outlet The Guardian and the right-wing outlet Breitbart Europe both reported on the survey’s findings, and both believe them to be credible based on their coverage.
The same poll also found that 42 per cent of people do not think that Muslims are able to integrate into British society. The Guardian contrasts that with the results of another question in the survey, which recorded that 85 per cent of Muslim immigrants do want to integrate, as pointed out by former counter-terrorism commissioner Sara Khan. However, at the same time, 64 per cent of Muslims believe that white British people are ‘working against Muslims’.
The left-wing paper also points out the idea that of Muslim’s inability to assimilate is most prevalent among the supporters of Nigel Farage’s Reform UK Party—71 per cent of them agree with that sentiment.
About one in three, 33 per cent, support the remigration initiative, according to the recent More in Common poll. Remigration aims to remove a high number of immigrants from Western European countries through deportation and financial incentives.
The survey was commissioned by the UK Extremism and Democratic Resilience Centre (UKEDRC) and included 4,094 adults as participants.
