Veronika Kéri

Veronika Kéri

Veronika Kéri graduated from the Faculty of Humanities (2015) and the Faculty of Law (2016) of Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. She is currently pursuing her PhD studies at the Department of Constitutional Law at Széchenyi István University, Győr. Her field of research is the constitutional identity of EU member states. From 2017 to 2020, she worked as a legal and political analyst at the research institute Center for Fundamental Rights in Budapest. In 2021, she joined the Danube Institute, where her field of research was the constitutional identity and the historical constitution of Hungary.

Frequent charges against the Commission are predominantly based on the fact that it lacks democratic legitimacy for making decisions regarding issues of ideology, and it is not held accountable by anyone for its political decisions, which would certainly be unthinkable in democratic circumstances.
