David Campanale
David Campanale is a multi-award winning journalist who worked for 30 years in BBC News, covering events around the globe. He served two terms on the National Executive of the National Union of Journalists, whilst chairing the London branch of the NUJ in BBC News.
David served as a director of one of Britain’s biggest Christian disaster and development charities, Tearfund. He stood in 2019 for Parliament as a Liberal Democrat and was Vice Chair of the Movement for Christian Democracy.
Having begun his journalism in East Central Europe in the 1980s, David is the co-founder of the Tusványos Festival in 1989. David addressed the first Fidesz Congress in 1988 and was founding chair of U.K. Friends of Fidesz.
David Campanale is also a Visiting Fellow at the Danube Institute.
