Gergely Gulyás argued that if it is true that those who are furthest from the Motherland find it the most difficult to preserve and pass on their mother tongue, to nurture their Hungarian identity, then no one can take the gold medal away from the Hungarian community in Australia.

In an interview with feol.hu, President Novák stressed that the success of Hungary’s recent Nobel laureates is further proof that Hungary had and still has excellent teachers. She added that the country must create the conditions for both the moral and financial appreciation of educators and acknowledged that ‘we’re not doing well’ in that respect.
On Wednesday, the Dohány Street Synagogue filled with people for a solidarity service held by the Hungarian Jewish communities. Two Christian teachers in Escondido, California sued their school district for forcing them to withhold form the parents if their child was identifying as of another gender at school. The US District Court for the Southern District of California ruled in their favour in the first phases of the civil case, granting preliminary injunction prohibiting the enforcement of the school directive, and rejecting the defendants’ motion to dismiss the case.
