Rubio, Kennedy Praise Hungary for Keeping Geneva Consensus Alive before US Return

The Geneva Consensus Declaration Secretariat has returned to Washington after three and a half years in Budapest, with Robert F Kennedy Jr and Marco Rubio publicly thanking Hungary for its stewardship. Since 2022, Viktor Orbán’s government has kept the coalition alive after the US withdrew under Joe Biden and Brazil later abandoned it under Lula, preserving the initiative until Trump’s return.

Trump Admin Restores Hungary’s Full Participation in US Visa Waiver Programme

Hungarians will soon enjoy full visa-free travel to the United States again, after President Trump’s administration reversed restrictions imposed under Joe Biden. US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris waves as she boards from Air Force Two at LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York, on 2 November 2024.

What Would President Kamala Harris’ Foreign Policy Look Like?

‘The question of what a Harris administration’s foreign policy would be is rather like asking a cat its views on quantum mechanics: you’re unlikely to get much clarity. There’s been a rather large absence of any discernible worldview to distinguish her from her boss, Joe Biden. Indeed, one might say her foreign policy is as elusive as the Hungarian summer—everyone has vague expectations, but no one is quite sure what it’ll look like when it finally arrives.’

Harris Surges in the Polls — Is Trump Doomed?

Most pollsters did a lousy job in 2020 in the United States, most often overestimating the popularity of Joe Biden. This year polls have claimed a Kamala Harris surge since Biden withdrew from the race, with many conservatives now fearing that Trump may be defeated after all by the clearly incompetent, but allegedly popular Democratic candidate. But the numbers recorded in the five battleground states that decided the last election seem to suggest otherwise.
