The Asia-Pacific region is facing its worst energy crisis in years, and the consequences of their responses will likely affect the entire globe.

While most EU member states have higher levels of gas stored, Hungary does better than the majority in terms of its annual gas consumption compared to the amount of gas stored, which is a more realistic indicator of the security of supply.

In order to help ensure supply, Hungary has decided to restrict eligibility for price-capped fuel and will release a fourth of its strategic oil reserves.
