Mayor of Herdercke, Germany, Iris Stalzer—a member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD)—was reportedly tortured for hours by her adopted 17-year-old migrant daughter, according to German media. Investigators believe that Stalzer was stabbed 13 times in her basement on 7 October 2025, where she was allegedly held and attacked for several hours.
Emergency services were called by the daughter, who initially claimed that her mother had been assaulted by ‘several men’. Police later determined that this account was fabricated to conceal the true nature of the assault. In addition to multiple stab wounds, Stalzer reportedly suffered burns from deodorant spray that was ignited with a lighter. One of the knives used in the attack was later discovered in the backpack of the perpetrator’s 15-year-old brother.
Despite evidence suggesting a deliberate and prolonged act of violence, prosecutors have not brought formal charges. Authorities cited the fact that the daughter ultimately called emergency services as an indication that she did not intend to kill her adoptive mother. Both siblings have been placed under the care of the Youth Welfare Office rather than being detained or prosecuted. The prosecutor added that the children’s father—initially considered as a potential guardian—had also previously been a victim of the daughter’s violence.
The case has sparked public outrage, with critics accusing the German justice system of applying double standards. Austrian activist Martin Sellner commented on the case, stating: ‘Germans are being imprisoned for memes, while the daughter in this case will never appear before a court for her alleged heinous crimes.’ In a different post on X on Sunday, Sellner also highlighted that the case clearly illustrates just how deranged the mindset of these leftists has become. ‘These children, like us, are not empty vessels to be filled and moulded at will; they come from ancient traditions and would likely have been better cared for and more naturally integrated in their countries of origin,’ he wrote.
Stalzer was airlifted to hospital and remains in critical condition.
