The Food of Hungary 2024 competition is being organized for the seventh time; the final will be held on 27 April at the Szolnok Campus of the University of Debrecen. The aim of the competition is to promote the diversity and richness of Hungarian gastronomy through culinary wonders and to strengthen national cohesion.
The exhibition, which features Pál Kepenyes’s small sculptures, life-size statues, and large-format photographs of his works, will be open until 9 March at the Aba-Novák Agora Cultural Center.
A total of 328 metric tonnes of litter has been picked throughout the 11 competitions held so far, 6.1 tonnes this year alone. Floating down the Tisza River in rafts made out of plastic bottles, a tradition since the event’s inception, was also held once again.
