Over the past year and a half, the ministry has surveyed the expectations of professional, scientific, interest representation, and civil organizations involved in road traffic. They have collected proposals from the main stakeholders and identified the chief problem areas that form the basis of the review criteria.

The Budapest pass will remain valid throughout the entire capital, and starting from 1 March BKK will accept monthly passes for Pest County and national passes on its routes.

Minister of Construction and Transport János Lázár announced near Nyírmeggyes in Szabolcs–Szatmár–Bereg County that the construction of the first, 28-kilometre-long segment of the expressway being built in two phases between the M3 motorway and the Hungarian–Romanian border has begun, with an investment of approximately 175 billion forints by Duna Aszfalt.

According to Minister of Construction and Transport János Lázár, in the new Hungarian settlement type of the 21st century the countryside merges with the metropolis.

If our goal is to prioritise food production, tradition alone is not enough; adaptation and modernisation are also necessary, stated János Lázár, to which János Áder added that the record number of applicants to the Mezőhegyes Agricultural School proves that young people find this modernised agriculture attractive and see a future in it.
