This weekend’s race promises excitement on the track, with four teams appearing to be in contention for victory. As a unique circuit often likened to ‘Monaco without the walls,’ the Hungaroring might disrupt the usual competitive hierarchy.

The Hungarian Grand Prix will be held at the Hungaroring on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 19–21 July. The trophies the podium finishers will receive, neo-classical style vases made by the Herend Porcelain Manufactory featuring a special Far Eastern motif called the ‘Imperial Peony’, were also presented at the race circuit in Mogyoród at a press conference held today.

Hungary submitted the Hungarian string orchestra tradition as an independent nomination, and it has become the latest Hungarian element of intangible cultural heritage to be added to the international list, following the Mohács Busójárás, the Matyó embroidery, falconry, and blue-dyeing (kékfestés).
