The government aims to have the closest possible ties with the motherlands of Hungary’s ethnic communities, Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén said, adding that even when there are disagreements, they must not have any negative consequences for national minority groups.

As reported on motogp.com, under the previously signed and now updated agreement, Dorna and HUMDA aim to have the Balaton Park Circuit included as a venue in the 2024 Superbike World Championship calendar, where it would serve as a reserve venue in the MotoGP programme. Starting from 2025, MotoGP races would be held at the Hungaroring.

The current development, funded by the government with two billion forints, is a significant step forward for the emergency system. Moreover, the budget for the healthcare sector for the coming year includes an additional 425 billion Hungarian forints.

In the autumn legislative package, the government will broaden the competencies of general practitioners, for example, they will regain prescription rights for certain medications that were previously taken away.

More than 100,000 spectators witnessed the 70-lap race of the 38th Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring. This marks a revenue record for the facility in its new era, Hungaroring CEO Zsolt Gyulay stated, adding that during the four-day race weekend, including the Thursday fan walk with the participation of 5,000 spectators, a total of 303,000 people visited the racetrack in Mogyoród, making it a record-breaking event in every aspect.

Regarding healthcare salary increases, the minister said the government will continue its two-stage wage hike programme. In addition to the 18 per cent raise in July this year, 200 billion forints have been allocated for this purpose in the draft budget for next year. The funds for pharmaceutical subsidies, cash benefits in health insurance, and the procurement of ambulances will also be expanded.
