Donald Trump’s campaign team has accused EU Commissioner Thierry Breton of election meddling after he sent a letter to Elon Musk, stating that Musk had a duty to censor potentially ‘harmful content’ on X ahead of Musk’s interview with the former US president. To make matters more embarrassing, it has emerged that Breton did not even inform Ursula von der Leyen of his actions.

Former co-president of the Hungarian left-wing party LMP András Schiffer has published an opinion piece about the German drugstore chain’s boycott of Elon Musk’s electric car company Tesla for the eccentric CEO’s support for President Trump.

As expected, the ‘chat’ between former US President and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Elon Musk has gone viral. The interview, broadcast live on X on Monday evening, US time, has garnered over 168 million views by the time of writing. The discussion spanned a wide range of topics, including inflation, the border crisis, and the Democrats’ foreign policy. Trump, of course, did not hold back in his criticism of his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris.

A recent opinion poll has revealed that the majority of Hungarians would not have allowed Algerian boxer Imane Khelif to compete in the Olympics. However, Hungarian society is divided on how to address the participation of intersex athletes in the competition.

Luca Hámori is scheduled to box against Imane Khelif of Algeria next. Khelif had been previously disqualified by the International Boxing Association from competing in women’s events for failure to meet undisclosed eligibility criteria. Khelif was nevertheless allowed to compete in the Paris Olympics, drawing international outrage.

During the July 13 attempted assassination of President Trump, establishment media pushed false and egregiously misleading headlines, while failing to deliver timely news updates. But according to the European Commission, X ‘deceives users’ with its blue check verification system, lacks advertising transparency, and restricts data access for researchers.

Conservative Dutch political commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek’s speech at CPAC Hungary 2024 discussing the demographic changes in Europe was removed for a ‘hate speech’ violation on YouTube. On X, however, the speech remains, garnering over 50 million views in a week.

On Thursday, the first commercial space mission composed exclusively of European astronauts was launched. In partnership with the Texas-based startup Axiom Space, Hungary will soon have the opportunity to send a man into space again.

Famous American political pundit Tucker Carlson interviewed the father of Gonzalo Lira, a Chilean-American political commentator imprisoned in Ukraine for his opinion. The father told Carlson he believes the US State Department is complicit in the plight of his son. Elon Musk himself spoke up in support of Lira after the interview, which prompted Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) to respond as well.

The editorial staff believes this is an expression of political bias, and was motivated by the upcoming European Parliamentary elections next year. The last piece of their content flagged by Facebook was of a topic covered by all major news outlets in Hungary.

Musk alleges the left-wing activist group maliciously manipulated his social media site X to show advertisements for major brands next to racist, fringe content, which resulted in significant loss in ad revenue for him. The Texas Attorney General has also announced an investigation of his own into the activities of Media Matters.

During her visit to Australia, President Novák discussed key demographic issues with former Australian PM Tony Abbott, met with Margaret Elaine Gardner, the Governor of Victoria State, and gave a lecture at the Australian Catholic University in Sydney. She also highlighted her Humanity Tuesdays initiative, which has been endorsed by Elon Musk.

The truth of the matter is that AI is here to stay. It is the future. While we may be some time away before, and if, we are confronted with a ‘HAL’ as the astronauts in Discover One, AI could be apocalyptic if it is under the wrong hands. At the same time, would anyone care to tell us whose are the right hands?

Although strongly committed to free speech, in some sense, Musk has been even more rigorous than his predecessors in terms of content moderation. Back in November, it was reported that Twitter had deleted around 45,000 accounts that were promoting sexual content involving children, relationships between children and adults, or non-consensual nudity in India.

The internal documents released by Twitter’s eccentric billionaire owner show a disturbing relationship between the social media giant’s former management and political parties in the United States.

The American left is outraged that President Trump’s Twitter account was reinstated by Elon Musk. This is a good moment to remind it that in a democracy, freedom of speech should not be defined by the arbitrary rules of the professionally offended.
