Central and Eastern Europe’s largest artificial intelligence conference will be held in Budapest at the House of Music on 9–10 September. As part of the event series in City Park, not only will the House of Music take centre stage, but the internationally renowned Museum of Ethnography will also host the Media Future stage.

This legislative package, initiated by the Ministry of Justice in collaboration with the Ministry of National Economy, the Hungarian National Bank, and the Hungarian Banking Association was submitted to parliament this spring. It provides legal tools and measures for authorities to take action against online perpetrators.

‘While Hungary and Poland ensure their reactionary abilities remain strong through their respective memberships in NATO, the rapidly developing world of cyber affairs and the dangers they come with require a proactive approach to avoid potential vulnerabilities in national infrastructure. Budapest has already begun to implement such an approach.’

The rise in reported incident numbers does not necessarily indicate a real increase in the number of attacks, as more cases come to light partly due to regulatory reporting obligations, it was revealed in the organization’s annual report.

Hungary’s commitment to national security remains unwavering in the face of 21st-century challenges, Minister of Defence Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky stated at the inauguration of the new Cyberspace Operations Centre of the Military National Security Service.
