Ferenc Kovács, the owner of Aurora Hotel and a crypto enthusiast, announced in a Twitter video that his establishment will be accepting payments in Bitcoin. The video was picked up by multiple major crypto-themed accounts on the social media site.

The 31-year-old former crypto entrepreneur, who was the second largest donor to the Democratic Party in the 2022 midterms election cycle only behind George Soros, was convicted on fraud charges for embezzling about $8 billion of his customers’ deposits.

If the ‘leader of the free world’ is pushing for an economic revolution that could potentially have dystopian consequences, and is not being clear about it, there is reason to raise an eyebrow.
