Fidesz MP and Interior Ministry State Secretary Bence Rétvári has announced that a new amendment proposal had been submitted to the Child Protection Act to parliament, with the goal of making children even safer from child abusers.

US President Joe Biden’s son was supposed to enter a plea agreement in which he pleads guilty to two misdemeanour charges of tax evasion. However, in an unexpected turn of events, the judge ended up not accepting the deal after the defence and prosecution failed to agree whether it would shield Hunter Biden from any potential further charges. The Biden family’s shady dealings go way deeper than what was included in the plea bargain.

PM Orbán shared his message of support for the former US President on Twitter. Donald Trump faces 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree in New York City, all related to the same act, paying off a mistress to keep quiet about their affair. Democrat Senator John Edwards had a nearly identical case, which did not result in a conviction in 2012.

The only potential uncertainty factor in the automatism of the waiver of immunity is the case of politically motivated procedures, the so-called fumus persecutionis, which, however, may easily arise in the future in the immunity procedures related to the Qatargate scandal as the case becomes more complicated.
