Under the scope of the renewed cooperative cultural project, many events will be held in the two countries in the next two years, including theatre performances and the publication of literary translations. Minister of Culture and Innovation János Csák of Hungary and Minister of Culture and Media Nina Obuljen-Koržinek of Croatia announced the new agreement at the Budapest Museum of Fine Arts on Monday.

Hungary and Slovakia recently signed a cooperation agreement on nuclear energy with the goal of coordinating research between the two countries and making joint efforts to apply the latest technologies.

The minister advocated for strengthening ties between the European Union and Central Asia, urging the prompt signing of the EU-Kyrgyzstan Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, which was initialled in 2019.

As part of the new cooperation agreement between the two institutions, each year four researchers from the Heritage Foundation will visit Budapest and work with the Danube Institute as visiting researchers.
