A new VR-assisted surgical procedure was first performed in January at the Paediatric Clinic of Semmelweis University, involving a seven-year-old child suffering from a malignant tumour of the sympathetic nervous system. Prior to the operation, the tumour and its surroundings were virtually visualized through a VR headset, providing a precise image of the neuroblastoma’s location.

The researchers affiliated with the applied chemistry department of the University of Debrecen have been engaged in a prolonged exploration of the usability of renewable energy and its storage possibilities.

The goal of digital public administration is to transition citizens to online management of public affairs, promising speed, ease of use, and data security. A prerequisite for this is the synchronization and integration of relevant IT systems. The Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Pécs achieved a breakthrough in the field of immunological research with their work at the János Szentágothai Research Centre (SzKK) of the university. With the newly developed procedure and equipment provided by US biotechnology company Thermo Fisher, it can be quickly and reliably determined whether someone has innate or acquired immunodeficiency.
